The Beta Sigma chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha at Missouri State University was installed November 1, 1947. The Alpha Sigma Alpha house on Cherry Street was built in 1995. After the chapter celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2007, the alumnae decided to completely re-decorate the house.
The house consists of five floors, two of which are where the sixty girls who live in the house reside. There is also a spacious basement where a big screen TV makes the perfect movie nights and an open area where weekly meetings are held. The large dining room is where the girls eat their meals together or it makes a great place to study. There is a grand staircase leading up to the formal living room, housemother’s quarters, and a study room. The Alpha Sigma Alpha house is truly the perfect home away from home.
